RIS/PACS vendor eRAD has installed its eRAD Insurance Eligibility and Verification module at Elite Imaging, which has 15 centers across Florida.
In South Florida, Elite Imaging had 12 people dedicated to insurance verification for the region; it now has three, thanks to the installation. The module integrates with the center's RIS, which is certified for stage II meaningful use.
Users know instantly if a patient is covered, and the software details the coverage, co-pay, deductible, deductible met, and co-insurance, in addition to calculating the amount to be collected at the time of service.
The module also alleviates some billing issues, eRAD said.
