DICOM Grid boosts its bank account

Cloud-based software developer DICOM Grid announced it has raised an additional $3 million in venture capital, bringing its total funding to $34 million.

The company has also appointed two new board members, James Ramsey and Marty Réaume, and a new chief marketing officer (CMO), Mini Peiris. Ramsey is also a co-founder of and board member at Vlocity, and Réaume currently serves as the chief people officer at Fitbit. Peiris recently served as CMO of OpenGov and spent more than 12 years at NetSuite in executive marketing roles, the company said.

More than 500 providers currently share images using the DICOM Grid platform, resulting in nearly 2 billion diagnostic images archived, according to the firm.
