IBM wraps up Merge acquisition

IBM has finalized its $1 billion purchase of RIS/PACS and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare.

Merge shareholders will receive $7.13 per share in cash under the terms of the deal. The firm will now become part of IBM's fledgling Watson Health unit.
