HIMSS unveils Health IT Value Suite

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has unveiled Health IT Value Suite, a "knowledge repository" that aims to classify, quantify, and articulate the clinical, financial, and business impact of healthcare IT.

Health IT Value Suite provides a taxonomy and framework to quantify and discuss the effects of IT in healthcare settings, according to the society. It offers examples that help providers, policymakers, payors, and influencers evaluate the success of their IT investments, emphasizing performance across numerous clinical, business, and financial factors.
