MedCurrent to debut OrderRight 3.0 at RSNA 2013

Clinical decision support software developer MedCurrent plans to debut version 3.0 of its OrderRight radiology decision-support software at RSNA 2013.

OrderRight provides primary care and specialty physicians with necessary information at the time imaging tests are ordered so that the most appropriate study is requested, the firm said.

The software helps organizations improve patient care planning and treatment, reduce inappropriate utilization, and mitigate costs, and it's powered with automated data analytics that provide insight into group, clinic, and individual physician patterns, MedCurrent said.

OrderRight uses ACR Select appropriateness criteria in its baseline rules set, and its Rule Authoring Studio allows each organization to customize the appropriateness rules to meet its local needs and standards.
