USEI debuts 5-MP display

Diagnostic display distributor U.S. Electronics (USEI) of Minneapolis launched a new 5-megapixel monitor from manufacturing partner Totoku at last week's Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting in Austin, TX.

The E551i2 display is a high-resolution grayscale LCD with a front sensor for monitor calibration. It is suitable for digital mammography display and other advanced diagnostic applications, according to the company.

Other specifications include simultaneous display of 11-bit signals for 2,048 shades of gray, clear-base/blue-base LCD panel, calibration capability for DICOM Part 14-compliant grayscale presentation, and an external LED indicator for operating status.
