The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has granted authority to operate (ATO) status for PACS vendor ScImage's PicomEnterprise PACS software.
Provided via the DOD's new risk management framework, the ATO is applicable to all DOD information technology -- including PACS -- that receives, processes, stores, displays, or transmits DOD information, the company said. The ATO is valid until December 2020.
