MedInformatix has installed its RIS software at a New York state radiology practice.
Adirondack Radiology Associates is using MedInformatix's RIS at its four freestanding diagnostic centers: North Country Imaging Center, Saratoga Imaging Center, Advanced Imaging at Baybrook, and MRI at the Pruyn Pavilion. MedInformatix's RIS handles images for tests performed and reviewed by the 12 staff radiologists with Adirondack Radiology Associates, including ultrasound, x-ray, mammography, MRI, CT, dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), vein scans, and PET.
The group is also using MedInformatix for its billing operations, the firm said. Adirondack Radiology Associates handles more than 70,000 annual imaging cases, with approximately 40,000 from its own two facilities and 30,000 from outside locations.
