Canon, Nuance confirm compatibility

Canon U.S.A. and Nuance Communications have completed successful interoperability testing of each other's products.

Nuance eCopy ShareScan v5 software was tested for converting and scanning documents from Canon imageRunner Advance MFPs (along with Canon imageRunner multifunction embedded application platform [MEAP]-enabled MFPs) into electronic health record (EHR) applications.

The initiative is designed to help enrich EHRs through the inclusion of paper-based, clinical document information and facilitate the seamless exchange of healthcare information.
