Candelis launches cloud-hosted data services

Archive developer and medical informatics company Candelis has launched its new Cloud platform designed to enhance image data sharing between clinicians and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) without the need for CD- and DVD-based fixed media.

Candelis Cloud serves as a universal access point for referring physicians and is available as a secondary repository of patient studies designed to reduce the risk of accepting and importing patient studies into a facility's PACS, according to the Irvine, CA-based company.

Once an image or report is available on the Cloud, referring physicians are automatically notified and are able to access studies via Candelis-provided toolsets.
