Compressus updates MEDxConnect software

Software developer Compressus of Washington, DC, has launched version 2.6 of its MEDxConnect software at this week's meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).

The new version features new productivity and efficiency enhancements, according to the company. Users can create personalized worklist, reporting, and practice tools to optimize the entire exam review process for a streamlined operational process and improved report editing and delivery. Enhanced study distribution algorithms can be utilized to optimize physician workload across a healthcare enterprise, Compressus said.

The new release also expands connectivity to software products from other vendors, including McKesson, Hologic, Cloverleaf, Carestream Health, Sage Software, Meditech, Nuance Communications, and Visage Imaging.

Compressus is also launching an interoperability return-on-investment (ROI) tool at the SIIM meeting that's designed to help facilities determine what kind of an impact they can expect from an interoperability project in terms of increased efficiency or revenue.

In other news, the company announced that it has installed MEDxConnect at Radiology Associates of the Fox Valley (RAFV) of Neenah, WI. RAFV supports nine hospital sites and multiple clinics in the northeastern Wisconsin area, with 33 board-certified radiologists. The facility will install MEDxConnect to enable various PACS, HIS, RIS, and other data information systems to connect and communicate across its enterprise.
