Siemens CMO named as CCHIT commissioner

Siemens Medical Solutions reported that its chief medical officer (CMO), Dr. Donald Rucker, has been selected as a commissioner of the U.S. Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT).

In the volunteer position, Rucker will be working to review criteria and inspection processes for certification of healthcare information technology (HIT) systems, such as electronic healthcare record (EHR) applications, according to the Malvern, PA-based Siemens.
