HealthMyne releases new version of QIDS software

Imaging analytics software developer HealthMyne announced that the newest update to its Quantitative Imaging Decision Support (QIDS) software includes a workflow module for automatically tagging incidental findings.

QIDS 3.0 enables radiologists to record findings as incidental directly into their workflow. The software then creates a worklist of all patients with incidental findings, from which follow-up appointments can be automatically scheduled according to Fleischner Society guidelines.

"In many healthcare systems, follow-up of these lesions is manual and inefficient, and unfortunately patients often fall through the cracks," said Dr. Linda Peitzman, chief medical and informatics officer at HealthMyne, in a press release. "This new module can significantly help organizations provide the appropriate follow-up to patients with incidental findings."
