RIS/PACS vendor eRAD has donated its PACS software to St. George's General Hospital in Grenada.
Transferring images between St. George's and other imaging centers has been challenging, the company said. A second facility, Princess Alice Hospital, serves patients who cannot come to the capital, but it has limited imaging equipment and no way of transferring those images to St. George's or surrounding local clinics, according to eRAD. With the new PACS, imaging performed at different sites can now be linked.
eRAD is the information technology division of imaging services provider RadNet.
