Swedish PACS firm Sectra has won a six-year contract with ProMedica to expand the network's current Sectra PACS into a vendor-neutral archive (VNA).
ProMedica is a 13-hospital system that serves northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. The contract will allow it to view, distribute, and archive more than 1 million radiology, cardiology, dermatology, and ophthalmology images annually.
ProMedica plans to integrate its electronic health record package from Epic Systems with the Sectra software. It will also install Sectra's PACS in two recently acquired facilities.
Sectra said it has collaborated with ProMedica since 2007.
