Teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic (vRad) has implemented its vCoder data normalization software to support clients in complying with the upcoming ICD-10 diagnosis coding system.
The addition of vCoder to vRad's clinical platform provides an automated and consistent approach to capturing the required information for assigning ICD-10 billing codes, according to vRad. The patent-pending software enables vRad's 2,100 customer facilities to transmit and process complete clinical histories and technical and diagnostic data -- including standardized code sets -- to meet the new documentation requirements under ICD-10, the company said.
ICD-10 will be implemented on October 1.
