Veterinary firm Idexx Laboratories has debuted Idexx Web PACS, a cloud-based software package designed to provide veterinarians with access to diagnostic images from any Web-enabled device.
Available on the Web via the company's VetConnect Plus service, Web PACS offers centralized access to imaging results and unlimited storage capacity for images and their diagnostic information, according to the vendor. It also includes radiology measurement tools.
In addition, the software features the company's Interactive Collaboration tool, which allows veterinarians to dynamically review, discuss, and enhance images in real-time with colleagues, specialists, or clients anywhere in the world, even if they are not Web PACS users, Idexx said. Available on a subscription basis, the software interfaces with DICOM-compliant imaging modalities, the firm said.
