BridgeHead Software has launched a new program enabling its customers to upgrade to its new HealthStore vendor-neutral archive (VNA) software.
The program allows BridgeHead customers using electronic medical record (EMR) software from Meditech to upgrade to VNA functionality and better interoperability across a healthcare enterprise.
With the upgrade, hospitals can do the following, according to BridgeHead:
- Establish a data repository to simplify access to images and other clinical content, using standards such as XDS and HL7
- Expand the protection of data beyond the Meditech system to other healthcare data types
- Publish their own data for independent access by other applications
- Create a more complete electronic health record
- Provide data interoperability across a healthcare enterprise
