Canada Health Infoway taps new CEO

Canada Health Infoway has appointed Michael Green as president and CEO, effective August 1.

Green comes to Infoway from Agfa HealthCare, where he has been serving as president and CEO of the Americas region. He has a "proven track record" of bringing international research and innovation to Canada to transform the country's healthcare system, according to Infoway.

In recognition of his contribution to the Canadian health IT industry, Green was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. He is also a member of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) Health board of directors, and served as board chair from 2009-2012.
