Barco lands large display order

Image display firm Barco has installed more than 350 new medical display systems at Continuum Health Partners' two flagship hospitals in New York City.

Continuum Health Partners recently decided to merge the PACS networks of St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and Beth Israel Medical Center to create an enterprise-scale PACS, and it chose to integrate Barco displays into every diagnostic and clinical workstation, according to the vendor.

More than 100 displays have been placed in radiology, with the remainder installed in emergency, intensive care, and other departments, as well as the hospital's stroke center, Barco said. In addition to its MDRC-2120 monitors, Barco also delivered hundreds of Coronis Fusion 6-megapixel (MP) DL, 3-MP, and 5-MP displays for breast imaging. The company also included its MediCal QAWeb automated online quality assurance and calibration service.
