Amcom installs CTRM system in OH

Communications software provider Amcom Software announced that it has been selected by EMH Healthcare of Elyria, OH, to provide its critical results management (CTRM) system.

EMH was manually communicating critical test results, so the Amcom CTRM system will provide a more efficient system and improve the workflow for both radiologists and emergency room physicians, according to Amcom. It will also enable the healthcare organization to meet the Joint Commission's guidelines on communicating critical test results more efficiently.

The CTRM system integrates with the PACS, enabling radiologists to document and immediately send alerts about their findings, and posts results into the patient's electronic medical record. The communications are HIPAA-compliant and are automatically recorded to provide a full audit trail that supports accountability and assists with Joint Commission reporting, Amcom noted.
