VNA market could hit $210M in 2018

Growth in image data volumes continues to accelerate and could propel the vendor-neutral archive (VNA) market to revenues of $210 million in 2018, according to market research firm Frost & Sullivan.

The report also noted the drivers that will contribute to 2011 revenues of $110.5 million, such as increasing average study volumes, evolving regulatory guidelines, a growing imaging patient population, and continuing reliance on imaging by the clinical enterprise. The VNA market consists of third-party vendors that provide PACS-neutral archives.

The enterprise PACS archive market earned revenues of $77.4 million in 2011, which could advance to $168.2 million in 2018, the firm said.

Revenues will maintain double-digit growth in both of these markets over the next seven years due to proactive industry investment and current traction in customer segments, according to Frost & Sullivan.
