MRI accessories company IRadimed has been awarded a three-year, single-source contract from healthcare supply contracting company Novation for its MRidium MRI infusion systems.
The contract will become effective September 1, 2012, for Novation's 65,000 members.
The MRidium systems are nonmagnetic IV pumps designed for use in the MRI environment. The MRidium 3860 MRI infusion system incorporates Masimo's SET SpO2 system for continuous monitoring of inpatients undergoing examinations. It offers an expanded drug library that includes a dose error reduction system to prevent medication entry errors while programming infusion.
Accessories include a modular second channel for delivering two medications simultaneously during patient scans and a wireless remote control monitor.
