MRI Interventions partners with Mayo Clinic

MRI Interventions is collaborating with the Mayo Clinic to design, develop, and commercialize MRI-guided, minimally invasive therapies for stroke.

The initial focus will build upon MRI Interventions' ClearPoint neurological navigation system, according to MRI Interventions. The system's intraprocedural visualization capabilities will be used to develop treatments for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), which is caused by bleeding deep within the brain and is the only major stroke subtype without an effective treatment.

The Mayo Clinic has a financial interest in MRI Interventions' technology and will use revenue from the venture to support patient care, education, and research.
