GE Healthcare has announced plans to expand operations of its MRI components facility in Florence, SC.
According to a March 21 report published online by Area Development, the new $40 million project expansion will help the company handle several new products at the 500,000-sq-ft facility, which designs, manufactures, and tests superconducting magnet components for MRI systems.
The investment is also expected to create 100 new jobs.
