ViewRay wins Henry Ford contract

Image-guided radiotherapy developer ViewRay has inked a contract with Henry Ford Health System to install its MRIdian Linac research system at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Henry Ford Hospital is the first center in Michigan and the second center in the world, after Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, to acquire the system, according to ViewRay. Henry Ford will help assess the linear accelerator-based radiation therapy technology.

MRIdian Linac is currently under development and not available for sale or distribution in the U.S., the company said.
