Toshiba installs 1st 16-channel Vantage Titan

Toshiba America Medical Systems has installed the first 16-channel Vantage Titan 1.5-tesla MRI scanner at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.

Fairview will use the system for all general MRI exams, as well as breast and cardiac imaging, and will expand its capabilities by offering prostate imaging to patients.

The 16-channel 1.5-tesla Titan features a 71-cm bore and feet-first exams to reduce claustrophobia, Pianissimo noise-reduction technology, integrated coils, and an M-Power user interface, Toshiba said.
