Toshiba wins Fla. MRI contract

Toshiba America Medical Systems has won a contract with the University of Florida for two of its Vantage Titan 3-tesla MR systems.

The university plans to use the scanners in its orthopedics and sports medicine institute and its main hospital, according to Toshiba.

The company just installed its 1,400th Vantage MR system worldwide.
