ART boosts Optix sales force

Medical device firm ART Advanced Research Technologies of Montreal has added two sales managers to boost sales support for its Optix Imaging System in North America.

Matthew Smith, Ph.D., and Sean Pitts have joined ART as senior area sales manager and area sales manager, respectively, for the North American preclinical imaging market segment.

Optix is an optical molecular imaging system designed for monitoring physiological changes in living systems at the preclinical study phases of new drugs. In late 2007, ART announced its intent to commercialize the Optix preclinical imaging product portfolio directly in North America and Europe.
