Chinese nuclear medicine firm comes to U.S.

Chinese nuclear medicine equipment developer Top Grade Healthcare is setting down roots in the U.S.

The company has signed a 10-year agreement with the University of California (UC) Davis Health System to establish an R&D center to advance the treatment of cancer patients. As part of the deal, Top Grade Healthcare will lease approximately 8,000 sq ft at the UC Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures on the health system's Sacramento campus.

The company initially plans to have a research team of 10 to 15 people in the UC Davis lab. Top Grade Healthcare is also developing a plan for a 45,000-sq-ft facility in the Sacramento region for manufacturing and distributing nuclear medicine radiation therapy equipment.
