UltraSPECT touts company growth

Nuclear medicine firm UltraSPECT is highlighting growth in adoption of its wide-beam reconstruction technology, which enables lower radiation dose and shorter imaging times for nuclear medicine exams.

Wide-beam reconstruction was first introduced in 2006 and uses iterative reconstruction algorithms to process data. UltraSPECT said it has achieved the following:

  • Double-digit revenue growth for the past three years
  • More than 200 units sold between 2013 and 2015
  • Installations in 46 states
  • 16 distribution partners, including eight different radiopharmaceutical pharmacies
  • Compatibility with 41 different gamma cameras and 12 workstations representing all major manufacturers
  • 100% field validation

The firm also cites changes from regulatory groups as a reason for growth.
