Mallinckrodt nuclear imaging sales edge higher in Q1

In a quarter that saw Mallinckrodt sell off its Contrast Media and Delivery Systems (CMDS) business to French contrast developer Guerbet, the company posted a modest increase in revenues for its remaining nuclear imaging business.

For the fiscal first quarter of 2016 (end-December 25), the company's nuclear imaging segment posted $103.6 million in revenues, up 1.7% over the $101.9 million produced in the same period a year ago. In line with the sale of its CMDS business to Guerbet, Mallinckrodt renamed its Global Medical Imaging Segment as Nuclear Imaging at the beginning of fiscal 2016.
