VeriTeQ receives patent for wireless molecular sensor

Radiation dose measurement developer VeriTeQ has been awarded a U.S. patent for its wireless molecular sensor system and process.

The patent covers methods and systems for measuring and wirelessly communicating particular molecular levels using an implantable sensor device that can be operated without batteries, VeriTeQ said.

The company plans to use the technology to develop biosensing microchip applications, initially focusing on radiation dose measurement technologies used during cancer treatment.
