ImaginAb, UCLA establish licensing agreement

Imaging agent developer ImaginAb and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) have finalized a technology licensing agreement relating to fluorine chemistry.

The licensed technology originates from the UCLA Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging. The fluorine chemistry will be used for the rapid labeling of proteins, peptides, and biomolecules with PET examinations.

The agreement grants exclusivity to ImaginAb for antibodies and antibody fragments. ImaginAb said that the technology will be used to combine F-18 sodium fluoride from existing cyclotron networks with its development of targeted molecular imaging agents based on antibody fragments and other small protein scaffolds.
