DMS deal powers Digirad's 2016 numbers

Nuclear medicine firm Digirad saw its revenues double for the fourth quarter and full year of 2016, thanks to its acquisition of DMS Health last year.

For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $31.1 million, compared with revenues of $15.6 million in the corresponding quarter of 2015. The firm's net income for the period was $2.0 million, compared with net income of $700,000 for the fourth quarter of 2015.

For the full year, Digirad posted sales of $125.5 million, representing growth of 106% compared with the prior year's revenues of $60.8 million. The company's net income for the year was $14.3 million, compared with net income of $21.6 million in 2015.

The company said the 2016 results include sales from the acquisition of DMS Health, which closed in January 2016.
