Texas medical center opens cyclotron facility

The University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas has opened its new cyclotron facility to produce isotopes for medical imaging and cancer research.

The cyclotron is expected to help with a variety of studies and clinical trials across many areas, including cardiology, immunology, psychiatry, biochemistry, and pharmacology.

The cyclotron facility is part of the Bill and Rita Clements Advanced Medical Imaging Building at UT Southwestern.
