International Isotopes' revenues slip in Q2

Declines in sales of its nuclear medicine and cobalt products contributed to a 12% drop in revenue for radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes in its second quarter.

For the period (end-June 30), the company had revenues of $1.8 million, down from $2 million in the second quarter of 2012. Revenues from nuclear medicine products slipped to $811,000, down 24% from the $1.1 million reported in the same period last year.

International Isotopes posted a net loss of $399,000 in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $515,000 a year ago. The company credited an increase in gross profit and reduced overall operating costs and expenses for improvements in its net loss.
