Dr. James Brink elected new ACR chair

Dr. James Brink of Massachusetts General Hospital was elected chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Board of Chancellors at the college's annual meeting in Washington, DC.

Brink was instrumental in developing the ACR/RSNA Image Wisely program. He has served as chair of the ACR Commission on Body Imaging and co-chair of Image Wisely, and is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of the American College of Radiology.

The college also elected Dr. Geraldine McGinty of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City as vice chair of the board of chancellors, and Dr. Howard Fleishon of Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, GA, as its second-term secretary-treasurer.

Finally, Dr. Bibb Allen of Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, was elected president, and Dr. Cheri Canon of the University of Alabama at Birmingham was elected vice president.
