CMS renews ACR's data registry

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has renewed the American College of Radiology's (ACR) National Radiology Data Registry (NRDR).

The CMS endorsement qualifies the NRDR as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry, so radiology professionals can use the registry to meet quality reporting requirements under the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).

The NRDR allows radiologists and related professionals to meet PQRS requirements based on satisfactory participation in a data registry; submit data for 24 non-PQRS measures; meet practice quality improvement requirements; and gain performance feedback to help enhance patient care and maximize value modifier performance.
