CMS delays PET payments during system check

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said it will hold claims for FDG-PET scans for solid tumors while it checks its payment system.

According to an article in the September 25 issue of MLN Connects Provider eNews, the PET reimbursements will be held beginning Monday, October 6, through November 11 while CMS verifies that its systems can accurately calculate payments.
