Neiman Institute offers new research grants

The Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute said it is accepting proposals for several new research grants.

The grants will focus on a range of topics, including the following:

  • The role of imaging in improving outcomes and cutting overall healthcare costs.
  • The role of imaging in next-generation healthcare delivery systems, especially in medical homes and accountable care organizations.
  • The effects of transitioning from fee-for-service to quality- and value-based payments, especially in radiology.
  • The effects of regulatory and payment changes on patients' access to care, practice ownership, and utilization.

Proposals are not limited to the areas above, as Neiman encourages any proposal that addresses an important issue related to medical imaging and radiology practice, the organization said. Qualified applicants from a variety of disciplines, including clinicians and junior nonclinical researchers, are encouraged to apply.
