Siemens, HeartFlow collaborate on FFR-CT analysis

Siemens Healthineers and cardiovascular software developer HeartFlow have entered into a collaboration to provide fractional flow reserve (FFR) CT analysis for coronary CT angiography (CTA).

Siemens' CT scanners will be paired with HeartFlow's FFR-CT Analysis technology, which creates a 3D model of a patient's arteries. Computer algorithms then simulate blood flow to help clinicians assess the effect of blocked arteries, the two firms said.
