SCCT announces Toshiba award finalists

The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) has announced finalists for the ninth annual Toshiba Young Investigator Award, sponsored by Toshiba America Medical Systems.

The finalists are as follows:

  • Dr. Michael Cheezum
  • Dr. Andrew Choi
  • Dr. Sumbal Janjua
  • Dr. Yamato Shimomiya
  • Dr. Richard Takx

The program supports the professional and clinical development of top radiology residents and cardiology fellows who are within five years of completing a training program, SCCT said. Finalists will give an oral presentation at SCCT's annual scientific meeting to be held in July in Las Vegas; all five will be granted a free year of SCCT membership, a $1,000 travel stipend, and free registration for the meeting.

SCCT will announce two winners at the meeting, and their manuscripts will be eligible for priority peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
