IMRIS posts lower Q2 revenues, smaller net loss

Image-guided therapy developer IMRIS reported lower revenues for the second quarter and first six months of 2014.

The company's sales for the quarter (end-June 30) were $4.3 million, down 58% from $10.2 million in the same quarter last year. Net loss was $7 million, a change of 15% from $8.2 million in 2013.

For the first six months of 2014, the company posted sales of $12.4 million, down 32% from $18.3 million in 2013. IMRIS said its net loss was relatively flat compared with the same period last year, at $15 million in 2014 and $16.6 million in 2013.

The company expects third-quarter 2014 revenues to be in the range of $6 million to $7 million.
