SCCT announces Toshiba award recipients

The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) has announced the recipients of the 2014 Toshiba Young Investigator Award (YIA).

Of five finalists, two winners were recognized:

  • Dr. Mariana Diaz-Zamudio
  • Dr. Elizabeth George

The other three finalists were Dr. Amit Pursnani, Dr. Ravi Sharma, and Michelle Williams, according to SCCT.

Funded by an educational grant from Toshiba America Medical Systems, the program supports the professional and clinical development of top radiology residents and cardiology fellows within five years of completing a training program. All five finalists will be granted a free year of SCCT membership, the society said.
