Samsung purchases NeuroLogica

Samsung Electronics America has continued its push to increase its medical equipment presence by acquiring portable scanner developer NeuroLogica.

Samsung said it plans to leverage its global brand awareness and technology in consumer electronics, IT, and communications with NeuroLogica to expand its medical imaging business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

NeuroLogica's offerings include its BodyTom, CereTom, and OTOscan portable CT systems, as well as its inSPira HD portable SPECT system.
