Sectra gets Swedish PACS install

PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra of Linköping, Sweden, has won a contract to expand its PACS network in a Swedish public hospital system.

Region SkĂ¥ne will deploy Sectra's PACS software at hospitals in Ystad, Trelleborg, Ă„ngelholm, Kristianstad, Hässleholm, and Helsingborg in southern Sweden. The expansion complements an agreement between Sectra and Region SkĂ¥ne signed in 2008 that initially covered Malmö University Hospital and Lund University Hospital.

More than 900,000 radiology examinations are performed in Region SkĂ¥ne each year.
