Neoprobe cuts loss on higher sales

Gamma camera probe developer Neoprobe of Dublin, OH, this week reported that the company's net loss shrank in its third quarter (end-September 30) as revenues grew on stronger device sales.

For the period, Neoprobe reported sales of $2 million, more than doubling last year's revenue of $958,000 in the same quarter. The company turned in a net loss of $942,000 for the most recent quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million in the same quarter of 2006.

Neoprobe said its results were helped by strong sales of its Bluetooth wireless probes, which helped offset a decline in sales of blood-flow devices.
