AI developer adds to scientific, medical advisory board

Israeli imaging artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer MedyMatch Technology has named nine new members to its scientific and medical advisory board.

The new members are as follows:

  • Dr. Michael Lev, director of emergency radiology and emergency neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School
  • Dr. David Haynor, PhD, neuroradiologist and assistant professor of radiology and neurological surgery at the University of Washington Hospitals
  • Dr. Jalal Andre, director of neurological MRI and MRI safety officer at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and assistant professor of radiology at the University of Washington
  • Dr. Paul Singh, assistant professor of neuroendovascular surgery and vascular neurology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School's Rutgers Neurological Institute
  • Dr. Ajay Choudhri, director of vascular and interventional radiology and assistant director of radiology at Capital Health Medical Center in Pennington, NJ
  • Dr. Yaakov Applebaum, chairman and medical director of radiology at Capital Health Medical Center
  • Dr. Moshe Gomori, department head of MRI and neuroradiology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel
  • Dr. Jacob Sosna, chairman and director of radiology and medical imaging at Hadassah Medical Center
  • Dr. Gabriel Polliack, chairman of the Israel National Imaging Council Committee for Sharing of Diagnostic Images and director of strategic planning at Terem Emergency Medical Centers in Israel

MedyMatch said it has developed a software application that applies AI technology to help detect intracranial bleeds on CT studies. Its goal is to combine clinical understanding with machine-vision and deep-learning technology to provide real-time, AI-based clinical decision support to physicians in the emergency room, according to the vendor.

MedyMatch's chairman and CEO is imaging industry veteran Gene Saragnese, who retired as head of the medical imaging business at Philips Healthcare in 2015.
