VuCOMP's M-Vu CAD available through Fuji

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer VuCOMP announced its M-Vu CAD system is now included as a companion technology with some of Fujifilm's systems.

Fuji's Aspire HD Plus and Aspire HD Digital Mammography systems, as well as its computed radiography (CR) products, will now include M-Vu CAD. This makes M-Vu CAD immediately available through Fujifilm's U.S. distribution network, VuCOMP said.

M-Vu CAD uses advanced computer vision algorithms to identify areas in mammograms consistent with breast cancer. It is the first mammography CAD product to have met the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's recommended standards for proven effectiveness, VuCOMP said.
